Justin Juarez enjoys an active career as a freelance trumpet player in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. He plays second trumpet in the Las Colinas, Garland and Arlington Symphony
Orchestras, a position he has held since 2009. Additionally, he substitutes in the Plano and Irving Symphonies, as well as other area chamber groups that provide musical outreach
programs to school children across the area.

Prior to moving to Texas, Mr. Juarez performed as the second and third trumpet in the Tallahassee Symphony and Sinfonia Gulf Coast Orchestra and was a member of the Crested
Butte Music Festival Orchestra. In addition to his performing schedule, Mr. Juarez is the private trumpet instructor for Marcus High School and Shadow Ridge Middle School, as well as Lamar, Briarhill, and Downing Middle Schools, all located in Flower Mound, Texas. He is proud to be a part of these nationally recognized programs and maintains a studio size of approximately sixty students. His students have enjoyed successes in Texas 6A All-State ensembles, the National Trumpet Competition, the Midwest Clinic, the Bands of America Grand Nationals competition, and the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra. In 2013, he helped pioneer the jazz program at Shadow Ridge Middle School, and gives weekly masterclasses with emphasis on improvisation and style.

Mr. Juarez holds a Bachelors Degree in Music Education from the University of North Texas and a Masters Degree in Trumpet Performance from Florida State University. His primary teachers and mentors include Christoper Moore, John Holt, John Carroll, and John Haynie.
